PCA Kiln Operational Parameters Webinar 10/15/09

Kiln Operational Parameters

October 15 , 2009
2 - 3 pm CDT

Understand the Interaction of Control Panel Indicators

Control room at Box Crow Cement Plant, Midlothian, Texas.Discover the most important indications and measurements in the kiln system and the impact that each one of these has on kiln operations. Operators can be overwhelmed by the bewildering array of control panel measurements. This often results in a fixation on two or three of the most important; disregarding everything else. That type of operation is simplistic and can lead to disaster. Understanding how these indicators interact with each other is key to operational success.

At the end of this course attendees will be able to:

    1. Describe the twelve most critical control indications; explain where they’re measured and why they’re measured
    2. Explain the relationship between burning zone temperature, back end temperature, and oxygen levels
    3. Understand how the 27 basic kiln conditions are developed; and understand the cautions that accompany the resulting decision matrix
    4. Review kiln control strategies; advantages, disadvantages, and inherent limitations

The cost of this one hour webinar is $95.
