PCA Announces Think Harder. Concrete

Campaign promotes concrete's core benefits and values: Durability, sustainability, and economy

It is often said that the benefits of concrete speak for themselves. If that were true, there’d be a whole lot more concrete stuff in the world. To align the concrete industry under one movement, PCA is announcing at World of Concrete "Think Harder. Concrete," a campaign that will address the three principle areas of durability, economy, and sustainability and will enlist concrete-related contractors, material suppliers, trade groups, and other industry stakeholders.

Join us for a press conference, Tuesday, February 2 at 11 am in Room N251.

At the WOC press conference, PCA Chief Economist Ed Sullivan provide the "ingredients" for a economic recovery for the concrete construction industry and when companies can expect it to occur.

2010 Sustainable Leadership Nominations Now Open

To heighten state and local decision makers’ understanding of the importance of cement and concrete to green building, and as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, PCA established the Sustainable Leadership Awards in 2008. This annual initiative identifies and honors government leaders who advance sustainable development in their communities through the use of concrete and cement-based products in homes, buildings, and infrastructure.

Nominations are now open for the 2010 awards. PCA encourages all members of the concrete industry to submit nominations.
