SKOKIE, Ill.--Portland Cement Association’s
Education and Training Department is offering regional seminars as an
alternative to conventional classroom sessions at its Skokie, Ill., headquarters.
Regional courses offer participants a cost-effective way of meeting their
training needs with shorter seminars, close to home. Additionally the
smaller size of regional seminars allows attendees to get focused attention
of the issues facing them locally.
Registration is still available for the following regional courses:

• Sept. 15—Vertical Roller Mills for Raw Meal Preparation,
St. Louis
• Oct. 6—Supplementary Cementing Materials for Use in Concrete,
Seattle, Wash.
• Oct. 12—Impact of Cement Characteristics on Concrete Proprieties,
Atlanta, Ga.
• Oct. 13—Kiln Operation Considerations, Atlanta
• Nov. 4—Combustion and Pollutant Formation, Bethlehem, Pa.
• Nov. 5—Vertical Roller Mills for Raw Meal Preparation, Bethlehem

Programs conducted at PCA meet requirements set by the U.S. Office of
Education for Continuing Education Units. PCA retains permanent records
of CEUs awarded to course participants, which are available on request.
