New CD Course Addresses Aggregate Optimization

A new interactive CD, Aggregate for Use in Concrete, provides a comprehensive course on the critical impact aggregates have on concrete properties. Often considered just “filler,” the characteristics of sand, gravel, and stone that make up approximately 75% of a concrete mix can have a tremendous impact on the workability, finishability, setting behavior, shrinkage, bond, and durability of concrete.

The course is designed for cement manufacturers, ready-mix concrete producers, concrete contractors, consultants, architects, specifiers, and other design professionals dealing with the use of concrete as a building material.
