New Concrete Courses Added to 2005 Educational Schedule

Portland Cement Association’s Education and Training Department has announced additions to its 2005 course schedule including new and expanded courses and regional course offerings.

PCA will be visiting Seattle, Wash., for a concrete program on “Supplementary Cementing Materials (SCMs) for Use in Concrete” on October 6. The “SCMs and Ternary Blends” course is a new addition to PCA’s educational programs held in Skokie, Ill., and “Aggregates and Admixtures in Concrete Mix Design” has been expanded to a two-day format.

Supplementary Cementing Materials (SCMs) for Use in Concrete – Oct. 6 – Seattle, Wash.
Concrete: Principles & Practices – Oct. 10-13
Aggregates and Admixtures in Concrete Mix Design – Oct. 24-25
Supplementary Cementing Materials (SCMs) & Ternary Blends – Oct. 26-27

Troubleshooting: Solutions to Concrete Field Problems, Nov. 14-16

All courses, unless otherwise noted, are held at PCA Headquarters in Skokie, Ill., and hotel and in-town transportation accommodation assistance is available upon request.

Programs conducted at PCA meet requirements set by the U.S. Office of Education for Continuing Education Units. PCA retains permanent records of CEUs awarded to course participants, which are available on request. PCA is also a registered provider for the American Institute of Architects, Learning Education Units.
