PCA Commends Confirmation of Nicole Nason to Administrator of the FHWA
March 29, 2019 – WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Portland Cement Association (PCA), representing America’s cement manufacturer’s, applauds Nicole R. Nason on her confirmation as Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) by a Senate vote of ninety-five to one.
“PCA congratulates Nicole Nason on her confirmation to be Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration,” said PCA President & CEO Mike Ireland. “Her experience makes her an excellent choice to bring attention to the much needed investment in the nation’s transportation system.”
Previously, Nason was Assistant Secretary for Administration at the State Department. Nason was the Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration from 2006 to 2009. She also served as U.S. Department of Transportation’s assistant secretary for government affairs.
PCA endorsed Nason’s nomination in February, noting her extensive transportation policy background and leadership skills make her the ideal choice that can meet the demands being placed on the nation’s roads, bridges, and tunnels.
