Our Government Affairs team works hard to develop constructive relationships with policymakers and agency leadership, sharing up-to-do date information and communicating the value and sustainability of our products, so that together we can build a greener, safer, and more resilient nation.

As natural disasters grow more frequent and costly, engineers are turning to concrete—made with cement—to create a stronger and more dependable built environment for the nation.
Occupational Health & Safety
We value our workers’ well-being. PCA works closely with leadership at the Mine Safety and Health Administration and Occupational Safety and Health Administration to ensure workplace health and safety.
Carbon Pricing
PCA supports market-based pricing that is fair, transparent and accommodates innovation—with preference for a cap-and-trade mechanism.

Meet the Team
The Portland Cement Association’s Government Affairs team is made up of familiar faces on Capitol Hill. Aside from meeting regularly with members of Congress and their staffs to discuss legislation that will impact the industry, they have working relationships with the federal agencies that regulate how cement is manufactured, transported, and used in construction.
