Heidelberg Materials is a leading supplier of cement, aggregates, ready mixed concrete, and asphalt in North America. With more than 450 locations, approximately 9,000 employees, a broad geographic footprint and a wide range of products, Heidelberg Materials is well positioned to support construction projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Its history in the US traces back to 1897, as Lehigh Cement Company, which began as a single-mill operation in Ormrod, Pennsylvania. Over the years, it became one of North America’s leading providers of cement and construction materials, through a strategy of acquisitions, modernization, and increased productivity.

Today, Heidelberg Materials serves cement customers in the US through 13 plants and a strong distribution network. The company manufactures and distributes gray cement, white cement, custom-colored cement, and slag cement. The majority of its cement is used in the production of ready-mixed concrete with the remainer used for precast concrete products, pipes, and blocks, and by the oil well industry.
