Ali Alawieh
Engineer I
Ali Alawieh is a highly qualified civil engineer at HBM Engineering Group in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a master’s degree in civil engineering in May 2024. Throughout his academic career, Ali demonstrated a strong focus on civil engineering materials, evident during his tenure as a research assistant at UIC.
As a graduate student at UIC, Ali actively participated in several research projects, many of which centered on innovative materials in construction. His hands-on experience and deep understanding of material properties were instrumental in advancing these projects. Notably, Ali contributed significantly to the portland-limestone cement (PLC) project, which is currently underway. His work on PLC involved extensive research and analysis, showcasing his expertise in cementitious materials and their applications in civil and materials engineering.
The comprehensive background of Ali in materials, combined with his practical research experience, made him exceptionally suited for the PLC project. His ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications ensures that he can contribute valuable innovations to developing and optimizing PLC in construction.
